Introduction
  • We are living in very difficult and challenging times
  1. 2 Tim 3:1 says "But know this that in the Last days, Perilous times will come"
  2. We must acknowledge that we are in such times now.
  • It is in such a time as thse that we must seek the power of God so that his Glory might rest upon us.
  1. Isa 60:2 says "For Behold the darkness shall cover the earth and deep (gross) darkness the people, But the Lord will arise over you, And this glory will be seen upon you"
  • God promised you his power and glory in this time and seasons but there are basic things we must do to make it happen.
  1. james 1:25 says "But he looks into the Perfect law of liberty and Continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does"
  2. So according to our text of today, what are the Power and Glory of God manifest upon us in this very difficult, and challenging time and season?.
  1. Acknowledge God
  2. In tihs time and season we must acknowledge God in our lives. This is so important.
  3. The situations will preserve us to neglect and forget God and consequently miss his power and glory. In Jesus name you will not miss his Power and Glory.
  4. The Psalmist in this Psa 63:1 said "O God, you are my God"
  5. He acknowledged that God is his God
  6. We must know and acknowledge the Almighty God in this time and season.
  7. You must seek to know God personally for his Power and Glory to manifest upon you.
  8. Prov 3:5-8 says "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And learn not unto thine understanding. In all thy ways acknoledge him. And he shall direct thy parts be not wise in thine own eyes; Fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones"
  9. Seek God Early
  10. If you want to experience God Power and Glory in thine challenging times and season you need to seek him early.
  11. In this Psa 63:1 The psalmist said "Early will i seek you.
  12. Some people seek God when it is too late and pray that is will be your portion.
  13. In Lk 16:23-24 The Bible said " And in hell the rich man lifted up his eyes, being in torments....... he cried and said "Father Abraham, have mercy on me"
  1. This a cry too late.
  2. Mt 6:33 says "But seek you first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you"
  3. Jer 29:13 God said "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart"
  4. If you seek God early in this time and season you will experience his Power and Glory.
  5. You will not enter into shame neither will you be Powerless.
  6. Your Soul Must Thirst For God
  7. In that Psa 63:1, the Psalmist said

"My soul thirsts for thee"

  1. We must hunger for God to see his Power and Glory.
  2. Mt 4:6 says "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirdt after righteousness for they shall be filled.
  1. They shall be filled with the Power and Glory of God
  2. Your soul is the seat of Knowledge. Therefore you must thirst after the Knowledge of God's word for you to experience his Power and Glory
  3. Psa 119:130 says "The entrance of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple.
  4. Verse 131 said "I opended my mouth and pointed for i longed for thy commandments
  1. This speaks about eating the word of God for your soul.
  2. Your soul is the Centre of your thinking
  3. The way you think will regulate the Power and the Glory of God you will see in your Life.
  4. Rom 12:2 says "And do not be confirmed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God"
  5. Let your soul thirst after God and you will see his Power and Glory no matter the situation.
  6. Your Body/Flesh Must Long For God.
  7. Psa 63:1, the Psalmist said "My flesh Longs for you"
  8. If you must see God's Power and Glory in this time and season you must master the control of your flesh or body
  9. What you do with your Body matters so much when it comes to experiencing God's Power and Glory.
  10. In 1Cor 9:27 Paul the Apostle said "But i keep under my body, and bring it into subjection, lest that by any means, when i have preached to others, i myself shold be a cast way"
  11. The Body of the Flesh easily work to deflat the Power and Glory of

Main Points

God in Man

  1. We see this happen in the life of Samson in the book of Judges.
  2. Our flesh longing for God in one way speaks of Prayer and Fasting.
  3. To see the Power and Glory of God Prayer and Fasting is key.
  4. Rom 12:1 says "I beseach you therefore brethen by the mercies of God, That you present your bodies a living sacrifice, Holy, Acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service"
  1. The presentation of your body to God is a daily service you must do to experience the Power and Glory of God on a daily basis.
  2. 1Cor 6:20 says "For ye are brought with a price: Therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit which are God's"
  3. God own's your body and he wants it to carry his power and glory. Ye it to him.
  4. Let the mark of God's Power and Glory be on your body and the devil will leave you alone.
  1. Gal 6:17 says From henceforth let no man trouble me for i bear in my body. The marks of the Lord Jesus.
  2. You must fellowship in the House of God
  3. In psa 63:2 the Psalmist said "So i have looked for you in the sanctuary"
  4. Some people today have dispised and neglected the House of God and the body of Christ and yet they want to see the Power and Glory of God, It will not happen.
  5. Heb 10:24-25 says "And let us consider one another to provoke unto Love and to good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching"
  1. In this perilious times and season if we must experience greater Power and Glory of God, we must be in fellowship not just with God but also with the bathroom
  2. 1 Jn 1:3-7 makes us to understand that our fellowship is with God the Father the son, the spirit and with one another.
  3. Our fellowship is not complete if we cannot properly discern and fellowship with the body of christ- The church.
  4. Hag 2:6-9 says "And i will fill this house with, saith the Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will i give peace, saith the Lord of Hosts"
Conclusion

glory of God in these challenging days.

  1. Acknowledge God as your God.
  2. If you are not yet born again. This is the time for you to be born again.
  3. Acknowledge that you are a sinner
  4. Acknowledge that Jesus died for you on the cross of Calvary.
  5. Acknowledge that he shed his precious blood for your sin cleansing.
  6. Repent and confess of these sins to God for forgiveness
  7. Receive Jesus by faith into your heart as your Lord and personal Saviour.
  1. To see God's Power and Glory you must begin to seek God early.
  2. Your soul must thirst for God in a dry and thirsty Land where there is

no water

  1. Your flesh must long for God in Prayer and Fastings
  2. You must be in constant and consistent fellowship with the brethen. Do these 5 Basic Spiritual injunctions and the Power and Glory of God shall fill your life no matter how difficult the times and seasons are PRAYER
  • May the Lord bless and Keep you.
  • The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious upon thee.
  • The Lord lift up his commtenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
