• What happens in yournlife now will determine what the future will look like.

• In other words, the way you handle your now and today will determine how far you can go.

• The Future you are looking for begins today.
• Every day you have is the Future you hoped for yesterday.
• Therefore you must take each day as the arrival of the distant Future

that hither to was inaccessible to you.

• Therefore you must approach today with the sense of responbility of

securing the tomorrow you hope for.

• So we must entically assess the now or today and make neccessary

sacrificies that will ensure a secured and Properous future or tomorrow.

• Postenty will Judge every generation by the sacrifice, they made to secure and improve the next generation.
• If the Leaders of any generation fails to deny themselves and sacrifice for their future the present unborn generation will be born to curse them.
• These are the truths that mordecai and esther understood that propelled them to take the actions that they took in the Now to secure their generation andthe future

What you must Assess in the Now to Secure the Future. Esther 3:13-15, Jn 10:10

1. The Destruction Est 3:13
2. The level of destruction now certainly tells you how secured the Future is.
3. It is very easy to destroy but to build is more difficult and takes time and resources.
4. Here Herman had planned to destroy a whole generation in One day and this would have been Possible if not God and the Leaders and People that understood that they must secure the future in their time and season.
5. We must not be like the King in the Bible who told God that Judgement should be transfered to future generation.
6. Destruction is one of the ministry of the devil or the thief and we must not allow it if the future is to be secured.
7. We must assess the level of destruction going on at the present in our individual lives, formulies, the nation and the world in order to begin to reduce it if our future must be secured.
8. The infrastructive being destroyed because of crisis will take a long time to be rebuilt. In fact it will take the future to rebuild them or replace them. Therefore instead of growing wgat we have, we are put in the situation of begining again.
9. Always begining again as the greeatest tragedy of the future.
10. The Killings Est 3:13
11. To must assess the current level of Killings with deep dismay to secure the now for the future.
12. The generally Killings put the future of a people or nation in very great danger.
13. If the Killings in the now Costume there may not be any future to hope to develope the future.
14. Who are the people invovled in the armed forces of a Nation? They are mainly the Youths.
15. Therefore if the youths being Killed in wars, arise and other terms of Killings it is the future that is been Murdered.
16. Jn 10:10 again confirms that Killing is the ministry of the devil and the thief.
17. The Innihilation. Esther 3:13
18. The level of ethnic cleansing or compression going on must be assessed in order to secure the now and the future.
19. Innihilation is blotting out completely with no trace of a thing Heaven existed
20. In any nation where this is obtainable there is no future for such a people of one ethnic group or the other.
21. In Nigeria today we see the sinpress of one ethnic group or the other. e. This has put our Now and the Future in great Jeopardy.
22. We must assess and deal with this Herman spirit in our Families, nation and the world. To secure the Now and the Future.
23. Please note that Innihilation is one of the most difficult battle to fight because:

1. God created every Tribe or Race
2. When you try to apply Innihalation you are going against God.
3. No tribe is better than the other. 4.God has given each tribe an inherent power of self propagation. 5.God has decreed that every tribe and tongue shall be represented before him.
4. Rev 5:9 says "And they sing a new song, saying thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof. For thou was to slain and hastt redeemed us to God by thy Blood out of every Kingdom, and every tongue, and people, and nation"
5. Only God can completely blot out any tirbe from the surface of the earth.
6. Dt 9:14 God said to Moses let me alone that i may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven.
7. Blotting out or Innihhilation of a people is something that no human should try if you doubt this statement ask Herman when you see him in Hell.
8. The Plundering Est 3:13
9. If the Now must be secure for the Future we must critically and honestly assess the level of Plundering going on in our dear Nation.
10. The Plundering of the national wealth and possession have reached and albering and unbearable proportion
11. The level of Corruption has assumed an insainty proportion. Government after government have refused to be cure of insanity in the last couple of decades
12. Governments are made up of leaders from the people and for plundering and corruption to continue unabated both the people and the Leaders should be blame.
13. But permit meet to approtion per cebtage of blame to this two component of Governance: The Leaders and the Lead.
14. The Leader has 70% while the Lead has 30% blame or guilt

17. Until we take an assessment of the critical steps to stop it the now and the future cannot be secured

21. We must assess the Legit Frame work that is both these who make the Law and them that innterprete the Law
22. If we must secure the Now and the Future of our nation.
23. Assess is the level of Soundness and relevance of the law that is being made as well as how truthful they are apphend or interpieled
24. Any evil Law like you find in Esther 3 cannot secure the Now and the Future
25. Law that apply to a people in a nation and does not apply to others in the same nation cannot secure the Now talk less the Future.
26. The Legislature is suppose to be the voice of the people and the judiciary the last hope of the people but we all are witnesses of what the two have become which surpressed the voice of the people severally and crush the hope of the people where it matters most
27. Let me say we must not allow our Legal framework to deterorate beyond redemption.

29. The Executive and Conspirates Est 3:15
30. We must develop a system of Assessing the Executive: That is the President and his team in order to secure the Now and the Future of the nation.
31. Please note that the Conspirates here are made up both the positve and the negatives.
32. You have the ministers appointed by the President and then the Cabales that always Hijaek thr President and the Governance system.
33. In this case of Esther and the Jews Herman and his inner Cocus constituted the Cabal.
34. Many atimes the cabals are always outside the assessment system. They seems to be above human Laws but can never be above God's Judgement f. The ultimate goal of any ever nature should be to secure the Now and the Future of the people God has set them over.
35. The Bible says in Lk 12:48 "For unto whomsoever much is given, to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more"
36. Also in 1Cor 4:2 the Bible says "Moreover it is required no stewards, that a man be formed faithful".
37. Faithfulness at all level of Leadership in key to our securing the Now and the Future Unfaithfulness will cause a Man to eat his Future at one sitting.
38. The Perplexity of thr People. Est 3:15
39. We must assess the Perplexity of our people in the nation today with a view of understanding of the critical drivers of this perplexity.
40. Perplexity is Bearilderment, Puzzle and Complicated solution our people have form themselves in all the sectors of our corporate existence as a nation.
41. The Jews in this ase in Esther were deeply perplexed as they wake up one morning just to discover that they are facing and impending wipe out.
42. In Nigeria today the people are perplexed about the Education system, the oil Sector, the power sector, the security system etc.
43. The current trend is not security only now nor can it over secure other future.
44. We are eating our Future today what a tragedy.
45. This has to e reversed begining with a critical assessment and want fication with situation of the Nigerian People.

What are the Actions We need to Reverse these ugly Trends and

Secure our Now for the Future?

1. Learning. Est 4:1
2. We must begin to learn from what has happened to us as a people and nation
3. It is a fool that does not wait to ask the question "where did the rain begin to beat me?".
4. From what has happened since independence andd still happening what have we learnt that can cause the change that we desire to manifest?.
5. It is said that if a man stop learning he will start dying.
6. We must learn from our experience to avoid the mistakes of the past and to be able to strategise.
7. Learning must bring us to the knowledge of the truth or else the learning is useless
8. In 2Tim 3:7 the Bible says that there people who are ever learning, and never able to come to the Knowledge of the truth.
9. So the correct value of Learning is the Truth.
10. God said for in 1Tim 2:4 that for all men to be saved they have to come unto the Knowledge of the truth.
11. In Est 4:1 the Bible makes us to understand that Mordecai began to reverse there insecurity, of the Now and the Future when he learnt from all that has happened.
12. We also must begin from knowledge of the happenings to create the Now and Future we desire.
13. We must show clearly that it must not be business as usual
14. In Est 4:1 the Bible said that Mordecai tore his clothes and put on sack clothes and ashes.
15. The fact that our nation is crumbling before our eyes and we are still dressing and behaving as if every thing is okay in said.
16. We need to declare state of emergency in many sectors of our Life as a people and nation.
17. Sack clothes and ashes here speaks of identification with the situation on grown instead of having in denial.
18. When people live in denial of their current predicament they deprive themselves of a glorious Future.
19. When the Live in denial of their Now challenges they rob themselves of the simplest solutions that live nearby.
20. Our current situation does not require business as usual if it must be reversed and create way for a better and secured Future.
21. Crying Out. Est 4:1
22. In Est 4:1 the Bible said that Mordecai cried out in the city.
23. He meaning wept over their situation
24. There must be individuals who must cry out for our nation. We must also allow their voices to be heard.
25. In Mk 10:46:52 the Bible said that Blind Bateamaeous cried out when he heard it was Jesus of Nazareth passing his way. He cried out for mercy. The people tried to stop him from crying out. But the Bible said the more they tried to stop him, the more he cried out.
26. To die in silence is the worse thing you can do for yourself or in a nation
27. As a nation what is our foreign policy and practice? is it a policy that is helpful to the nation in reversing our ugly trends and give us a better and secured Future?.
28. The King must identify with the situation on Ground. a. In Est 4:2 the Bible says that Mordecai could only go as far as the front of the King's gate for no one might enter the King's gate clothed with sack cloth.
29. It means inside the King's palace they do not know what is happening outside. Even if they know they pretend as if they do not know
30. They speaks of what is happening in most state house of most nations
31. Where state house can budget Billions of naira and their are millions of children roming on the street and cannot afford to go to school.
32. Because of Kings not Nonlifying with the situation on ground that is one of the reasons why their conspirates just tell them what they want or like to hear.
33. They tell them it is well when all is not well.
34. They tell their King that is his a success when his failure is glearing even to a blind man. Meaning that the failure is so tangible that the blind can touch it.
35. I plead to the King's today to leave yheir cossy Lives and identify and feel what is raveging the society.
36. I recommend what the King's did in the land of Ninevah to our dear presidents and Leaders at all levels. Jonah this is the way to secure the Now and the Future.
37. The Ruler or President must be Fair
38. In Est 4:3 the Bible said "And in every province where the king commands and decree arrived, there was great Mourning among the Jew, with fasting, weeping, and wailing, and many lay in sack cloth and ashes"
39. It means that the decree was not fair to all people within his domains. Why should some people be appointed to die and others to live.
40. In 2 Sam 8:15 and 1 Chr 18:14 the Bible said "And David reigned over all Israel and David executed Judgement and Justice unto all his people"
41. If a Ruler execute Justice and fairness even at his challenging times God will deliever him from his oppressors. You will have a ground as a king to ask God for deliverance from the oppressors. Psa 119:121
42. One of the Key purposes why God ranks Kings, Rulers, Presidents etc is to do Judgement and Justice. Justice here is fairness and equalty. 1Kg 10:9, 2Chr 9:8 f. Even the Almighty GOd the Habilation of his throne is righteousness and Judgement or Justice.
43. Rulers being fair is one of the ways to secure our today and the Future in a Nation like Nigeria were there are great diversities.
44. Until the Rulers are fair we can not harness the beauty and advantages and benefits of our diversity.
45. We certainly need a mighty turnaround in this Area. Help us to God.
46. Intergrity and Ideal Values
47. To secure our Now for the Future we need a critical Mass of people of intergrity and ideal Valnesat arel.
48. In Est 4:4 the Bible said "So Esther's maids and eunuchs came and told her, and the queen was deeply distressed then she sent garments to clothe Mordecai and take his sack clothes awy from him, but he would not accept them
49. One of the greatest virus eating and destroying our nation is the great number of people without intergrity and ideal values.
50. It would have been easy for Mordecai to accept the garments gift at the expense of his mission.
51. He know he had a sacred mandate of his people to stand at that gate until the message gets to the king.
52. Intergrity is trust worthiness. Mordecai refused here to betray the trust of the people for personal gain.
53. One of the greatest challange of Leaders and particularly the political class are void of Intergrity and weal values that will transform the Now and secure the Future.
54. We have seen where people have climbed to Leadership positions and push off the Leader by which they have climbed. They should remember that there will certainly come a time to climb down and at that time the Leader will not be there and they have to jump and break their legs. It is only God that reigns forever and ever.
55. Let us pursue intergrity and ideal values that will gender a better and secured Future for the nation.
56. Empirical Research and Information
57. Empirical Research and accurate information is key to any transformation.
58. It is the quality of your research and information that can steer up the mind of the people for change in the Now.
59. IN Est 4:5-9 we saw Esther send one of her assitant to go and find out whatwas the issue with Mordecai and why
60. Mordecai told the kings eunuch Hathach exactly what had happened
61. The information did not end in story telling but Mordecai told him the lexaet amount of money to pay into the King's treasure in order to destroy their Now and the Future
62. Not only telling the story, Mordecai gave a copy of the letter as evidence.
63. Therefore in our national rebirth must not and in theory only but on what has been observed and experimented. In other words we must not throw away what we have tried and have achieved success. For exsmple snd in my personal opinion two party system is the best for this nation. My perspective is that it is less expensive and move mifying for Nigeria. It is more robust formation to the grassroot.
64. High Level Adrocacy
65. We must realine that change does not come overnight it takes a process.
66. Every king want to proof that he is strong and this is the reason why we must deploy the strategy of diplomacy and advacory in bringing aboutt change in the row and to secure our Future.
67. In Est 4:10-12 the Bible said every man or woman know that going to the inner court of the king uninvited means death.
68. Except the kings holds out the sceptre to you, you will die
69. We have had some coups in this nation that failed and we all know the result.
70. Therefore the democratic process of change is the best option.
71. In this process is embeded advecery, Concensous building, Listening to one another etc.
72. High level advacery should be employed and deployed in securing the Now for the Future.
73. Strategy and Risk Taking
74. Strategy and risk taking are core if we must secure the Now for the Fture of our nation.
75. Strategy talk about when thought our long term plan and taking steps to execute the plan.
76. No project can be executed successfully without going through the inherent and aquired risks
77. In Est 4:13-16 the Bible said that Mordecai told Esther the queen, do not think you will escape in the King's palace.
78. Nobody in the king's palace will escape if we watch and allow our nation to disintergrate. If we allow the ugly situation now to continue and deverstate our Future. For example the lack of fuel is biting hard on everyone now. we are riming the risk of the aviation industry shutting down. etc
79. Mordecai told Esther, if you refuse to act and take step for a change of the situation God will send alternative but the impact on you will be generational. We do not pray that this will be the portion of some of our today's leaders but if they delibrately refuse to change the status gnonemesis will catch up with them. Because the bible said whatsoever a man soweth that shall he ripe.
80. Some people must take a personal risk to bring about a change in the Now that will secure our Future.
81. Esther said in Est 4:16 "And so i will go to the King, which is against the Law; and if i perish, i Perish"
82. This is a statement to pray the supreme sacrifice if the need be just because her spirit and soul in steered up to make a change and create a better and secured Future.
83. On this note i want to salute our gallant armed forces who have confirmed to risk their lives in the defence of our dear nation and particularly our fallen heros. May their souls rest in peace and their families confronted by God almighty. 10.Fasting and Prayers
84. To everything in the life of man there is a divine or supernatural dimension and securing our Now for the Future is no exemption
85. The Bible says in Psa 127:1 thatexcept the Lord builds the house they Labour in vain who build it. Unless the Lord watches or guards the city the watchman stays awake in vain"
86. Consequently Esther and Mordecai in Est 4:16-17 recognised the tremendous power of prayer and fasting. The Bible stated in this passage this "Go gather all Jews who are present in shustan and fast for me, neither eat nor drink for three days, night and day. My maids and I will fast likewise. So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him".
87. We need practical days of prayer and fasting to invoke the power of God for divine intervention in the affairs of our dear national.
88. This has to invovle all well meaning nationalists and compatroit.
89. Isa 1:19 says that if we are willing and obedient we shall eat the good of the kind.
90. The God factor cannot be neglected if we must achieve national transformation.
91. The Fear of God in the heart of men and women will cause them to escape evil. In fact the fear of the Lord the Bible said is the begining of wisdom. And by wisdom a house and nation is built. i. In Jonah 3:5-10 we saw that fasting and prayers saved a nation that was at the brick of total destruction.
92. In this matter of Prayer and Fasting both the leaders and the lead have to agree and work together
93. In Jonah 3:10 the Bible recorded "Then God said their works, that they turned from their evil way and God selected from the disaster that he had said he would bring upon, them and he did not do it.
94. This is a divine turnaround. This is possible also for our nations in order to secure our Now and the Future

Expected Transformation Results and Benefits.

• Transformation is important at the individual corporate and national level that without it no one can really achieve real growth and development or maturity.
• Transformation is simply a remarkable change in form, nature or appearance
• It is a process of by which a person thing or system is converted from one state to another.
• For the purpose of our discussion, we are focusing on positive transformation because there can be negative transformation
• In Rom 12:2 the Bible said "And do not be confirmed to this world but be transformed by the remaining of your mind, that you may be able to prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
• Hence transformation is by the remaining of the mind.
• In case of Mordecai, the Jews and their adversaries we saw clearly how minds were transferred for positive charge including that of the King and queen.
• We also see that transformation gives you the ability to prove or showcase what is good and acceptable to God and the society. God made man and the society and he knows what is best to sustain them.
• Transformation sources the Now and the Future

when there is transfriction there are certain benefits and positive result that will emerge and i will like to outline just about seven of such expected evidences

1. Peace and Security
2. Transformation bring about peace with God, with one and another and society. It is untransformed minds that goes about causing whever in the human environment. Peace is simply freedom from disturbance it is tranquility. It is a state or period in which there is no war or a warhas ended.
3. Security is simply the state of being free from danger or threat
4. Transformation of the mind and society will birth peace and security like we saw in the book of Esther after the king changed his mind and issued a new decree that stopped the impending killings that was to take place. Mordecai and Esther pursued peace via non violent approaches. By this they secured the society
5. The Rule of Law
6. Transformation deliever an environment or society where people obey the law. A lawless life and society is one that is going no where
7. Almost everything in life is controlled by law. There is the law of God and the human law and both in most cases target to achieve order in the society. Any law that targets at killing, destroying and Annihilating a particular set of people in the society is not godly and beneficial to development and must not be allowed to proceed.
8. It is evil ministration that pronogates evil laws. Laws are supreme and we must be careful the kind of laws we make. The summit of supremacy of law is the laws of God Almighty.
9. The law of God is righteous, equalable and Just
10. When there transformation in a society we will see law and order.
11. Law and order speaks also about the respect for human right and the sanctity of life.
12. It is a disorderly society that egnates the life of a human being to that of an animal.
13. The Bible said "Let all things be done decently and in order. We saw order in the life of Mordecai. He ensured that good laws came to replace evil laws made by evil mind of Herman.
14. Productivity and Economic Emancepation
15. High level productivity and economic freedom is one of the result we will see to evidence transformation. Until this happens we cannot say we have true or positive transformation.
16. If we cannot change our poverty needs as a nation thought being productive then transformation is not in place.
17. Eeven at the individual level, if you are not productive, then you have not been transformed. God did not create and one a beger and that is why he gave you two hands.
18. Transformation will bring about the way we do things in all the sectors of our economy to ensur all round growth and development for example the way we farm need tranformation to yeild more. Our industry will produce more by transformation. Mordecaiand Esther became productive through careful process. You cannot be productive without economic freedom.
19. Leadership.
20. Transformation will impact on these part of leadership that is found in a society.
21. As an individual you cannot be a leader that can bring about positive change until your mind is transformed.
22. It is the transformation in your mind that power you to transform things anywhere you find yourself in the human society.
23. You cannot give what you do not have so transformation leadership comes when the individual leader is transformed.
24. When a people lack transformation leadership they suffer and mourn. We need leaders who shall improve on what they meet on ground.
25. Leaders who shall secure the Now for the Future to enjoy. Leaders who shall not eat their tomorrow today
26. In the Book of Esther we saw the King, Mordecai, Esther as transformation leaders. Even the King made a change of the evil decree he had earlier made. Transformation make a leader to accept and change or improve on his fault or weakness
27. Innovation
28. One of the key results or benefit of transformation is Innovation. It said that you cannot be doing thesame way and expect a different result.
29. We need improvement in all that we do and transformation delivers improvement.
30. Innovation is simply said to be action or process of innovating. That is injecting now methods and weas in what you are doing to ensure improvement.
31. When transformation deliver innovation you will destroy and silence your hardest opposition.
32. Esther was so innovative because of her transformed and by the information given by Mordecai that she was about to destroy Herman by setting up a special banquet for the King and Herman alone.
33. Technological innovation is needed to improve everything we are doing and it is transformation that we make us go for it. Untransformed minds will undermine the deployment of technology for improvement
34. Institutions And Systems a. It one time President of United states that said that Africa does not strong leaders but strong institutions. But let me add that strong institutions and systems are products of transformation.
35. If we are satisfied with the current status quo in our institutions and systems and refuse to change them, we are going no where. If we do not change and improve on our institutions and systems we cannot secure the Now and the Future.
36. The system is made up of structures, Prilicies and the people.
37. We must build the structure, develop right policies, mobilise and build the people through transformational approaches.
38. In the Book of Esther we saw how Mordecai and Esther mobilized and buildthe people that although they were not in the kings palace participated effected in the deliverance strategy and implementation. I think this is one of the words now and create a Future and postenty that will salute us in due time.
39. Any hesitation and system birthed by transformation will ensure a clear and formidable succession plan. The seat tie symdrome shall not be the trend of the day. It is absolute fortune for any man to think he will live on the side of eternity forever. Let us build strong institutions and systems that will out live us.
40. Complete Freedom
41. Transformation at the long run will deliver the benefit of complete freedom
42. Freedom from all kinds of oppressions
43. By complete freedom i mean matured freedom. Not a fragile freedom or independence yes no one or nation can ever be without challenge in life but there is a level of manicipation or freedom that a man can have that will enpower him to scale over every challange.
44. For example Aeroplane this nest of the times against opposition and challenges but it is poweer by transformation, innovation and freedom in the air for victory.
45. By the transformation championed by Mordecai and Esther, the Jewish people were able to have complete freedom from death, intimidation and oppression
46. Let us seek for complete freedom for our people and nation now and secure the Future.
47. In Jn 8: the Bible says "If the sin of God Jesus shall make you free you shall be free indeed"
48. We need complete freedom as individuals, fsmilies, society and nation today.
49. And complete freedom cannot come without the God and divine factor.
